Understanding the Copper Manufacturing Process: From Mining to Smelting
Copper is one of the most widely used metals in the world, playing a crucial role in various industries such as construction, electrical wiring, and transportation. Smelting involves heating the copper cathodes in a furnace to extremely high temperatures, turning them into molten copper. This process helps eliminate any remaining impurities and further purify the copper. Once molten, the copper can be cast into different shapes, such as rods, sheets, or wires.
